STOCKHOLM, Sweden- Virgin Islands' athlete and former 2-time Diamond League Champion Kyron A. McMaster registered a DNF after suffering a nasty fall in his 400m Hurdles race in the Diamond League in Stockholm today, July 4, 2021.

McMaster, the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games Champion, seemed in sublime form and set to win his race in comfortable fashion when he clipped the 8th hurdle and lost his rhythm and balance, causing him to lose ground.

The Virgin Islander; however, seemed settled for second when he misjudged the 10th hurdle and fell.

It is unclear if McMaster, who is set to take part in the Tokyo Olympics, has suffered any injury as a result of his tumble.

The race was eventually won by Alison Dos Santos of Brazil in a Personal Best time of 47:34.

If god was a hurdle you just stepped on him. He tripped you and you fell. But god will soon be the starting blocks and you once more will rise like a pheasant from the flames in his name. Race on dear carrier pigeon of these british isles. Race on

Who said he was "set to win his race in comfortable fashion"?. He went out too fast, became tired that's why he started clipping hurdles. Most likely he would have been passed eventually by the winner. Did you see the winning time?

Yeah He looked tired in second to me before he fell… Anyhow he has time before the olympics.
