Marina Manager
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Excellent communication skills.Â
- Commercial Captains license required.
- Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW)
- Ability to make sound judgments quickly.
- Work on multiple tasks, making appropriate progress towards deadlines.
- Able to work in a teamwork environment, take direction and provide direction to others.
- Manage differing personalities within the office, the hotel, and the community.
- Maintain the highest degree of confidentiality.
- Ability to work effectively in stressful, high-pressure situations.
- Ability to effectively handle challenges in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary.
- Be able to spend long periods of time on your feet, sitting or working in close quarters.
Duties:
Sell, manage, and operate the marina as a stand-alone business unit.
Create strategic partnerships and drive new business into the marina.
Lead the business unit with an operational and hands on approach.
Organize sales and marketing efforts with the General Manager.
Ensure the safe handling, mooring, and docking of small and large vessels.
Ensure that all boats are greeted by marina staff upon arrival into the marina.
Ensure the marina is kept clean, safe, and organized ant all times.
Ensure the Resort Ferry operates on time and within the laws of the land.
Any other duties assigned by the manager or supervisor.
