ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- There is soon to be a new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of VP Bank (BVI) Ltd, as Nicholas Clark is set to retire.

Our newsroom has been informed that Marcel Tschanz, the Group Chief of Staff, has been tipped for the new CEO position.

Mr Clark has been CEO of VP Bank (BVI) Ltd in Tortola since 2017.

According to VP Bank, under Clark’s leadership, the subsidiary has become a leading real estate financier and increasingly the bank of choice for customized investment and wealth management services.

VP Bank also said Mr Clark will continue in his role as a member of the Board of Directors of VP Bank (BVI) Ltd.   

Background 

From 2021-2023 Mr Tschanz served at VP Bank Ltd, Vaduz, Liechtenstein as Chief Transformation Officer, Group Chief of Staff and before that, in 2014–2021 he served at PriceWaterhouseCoopers AG, Switzerland in a Partner Advisory role. 

He also served at VP Bank Schweiz AG, Zurich, Switzerland as their Chief Executive Officer and in 2011 at UBS Wealth Management, Zurich, Switzerland as a Management team member of the strategic program as part of his years of experience for the new CEO role in the VI.

    why cant a local ever get the top jobs? do local ppl even work in there.. the government needs to stop these companies from getting away with bringing in expats for jobs our people capable of doin man strupes

      All jobs at VP Bank are advertised and all candidates, including BVI citizens would have been interviewed (which is required in order to get a work permit for a non-Belonger). Most employees at VP Bank are "locals" and several "locals" have replaced expats at the bank in recent years.
