With what legal authority do they mandate people to leave their businesses and come to this meeting? Especially during happy hour!

Hope Smoking drugs and the encouragement of establishment to have customers used or smoke drugs at their business, For those of us who doesn't smoke, hate the smell and the smoke it's uncomfortable. Here the Issue, You start going by a nice Bar or club, clean and decent, in a matter of two months, the thugs come around start smoking the place.. Sometimes the Bar or club owners will ask them to stop, they refused....I used to go to this Bar / Club almost every afternoon to have a drink and chill, Then the drugs smokers came and took over...Don't go there..These drug smokers don't even spend money, just messing people business. What can be done about that?

I hope they put an end to all these restaurant owners who's taking all the service charge from the waitresses. These restaurants owners lie on their tax form and they steal the service charge. This needs to stop. Restaurants owners getting rich on expensive food and service charge. So places charge 18% and give the workers less than 1% , how is this right

The BVI should implement non-driver identification cards for individuals under the age of 18. These cards should be clearly marked “Under-18” and designed differently from regular IDs to help prevent minors from purchasing restricted items like alcohol or entering businesses that prohibit underage individuals. Clearer rules and stronger identification measures are needed to address the growing concerns around underage access and behavior as it’s getting worse.

What needs to be addressed is the amount of noise disturbance in these establishments cause in residential areas. Some of them are noisy from morning until midnight and beyond. The police do very little to help as many of the bars are repeat offenders.

I suggest that which ever agency in government is responsible for issuing licenses and amending laws considering making such establishments soundproof their buildings. Claiming that you are a restaurant it operating as a night club should not be allowed. Force them to contain their noise.

The Spanish bars are the worst. They are extremely noisy. The people that own them and those that work in them only care about themselves. The noise pollution needs to be addressed promptly. If our policy makers were affected by the noise they would certainly be willing to address the concern. The lack of concern for the ordinary citizen’s concerns is the reason why the current batch can’t get my vote.
