HARRIGAN ESTATE, Tortola, VI- Police are said to be investigating a shooting in Harrigan's Estate on Tortola this afternoon, May 31, 2023.

According to reports, an individual was injured in the shooting that took place just after 2:00 PM.

The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) has confirmed the incident.

"One man was wounded. Injuries appear not to be life threatening. No further information can be released," the RVIPF briefly informed.

It was only on Saturday, May 27, 2023 that a man was fatally shot in the Manchester area of Tortola.

          Some of you in Tortola is to damn needy and complain to damn much. Why should the Minister of District 5 remove this famous green piece of cloth. Go and remove it your damn selves if you have a problem with it. BUT HERE IS WHAT I THINK, PEOPLE IN TORTOLA BELIEVES IN TO MUCH VOODOO OR WHATEVER THEY CALL IT.     This is a very suspicious shooting incident in the Territory at this time. If the situation does not stop, we will see the British Troops landing to maintain Law and order. When that happens, we ourselves will not be able to be on the road after sunset. The few persons who are involved in the shooting will cause peaceful people to live in a state of curfew. I want to appeal to those who are involved in the shooting to put down their guns and let us live in peace.

    Guns do not solve the problems; it only makes matters worse. Many parents will mourn the loss of their children. Some persons would not like to hear this until one of their relatives die in the process.
