PURCELL ESTATE, Tortola, VI- Information reaching Virgin Islands News Online is that a man was shot during a robbery in Purcell Estate in the wee hours of Sunday, May 31, 2020.
According to reports, the victim, along with others, was on the 'Purcell Public Road' when they were approached by three men wearing masks.
The persons in the group attempted to flee; however, the gunmen caught up with one of the persons in the group and robbed him of jewellery and cash before shooting him twice, once in the abdomen and in the groin.
The victim, originally from Virgin Gorda, is said to be in stable condition at Dr D. Orlando Smith Hospital.
The incident allegedly occurred sometime around 1:00 am.
Police are said to be investigating.

If anyone belives that 3 people were chased down by gunmen to be robbed of cash and some chains then gets shot twice STUPID comes to mind. They had just come from the smae place as the gunmen, they know who shot them , they just ain't saying.
