VALLEY, Virgin Gorda, VI - “We cannot shed tears that she is gone, but we can smile because she lived, you can close your eyes and say she will come back or you can open your eyes and see all that she has left…” were words from the eulogy read by Tracy Francis as loved ones paid their final respects to Demiah O. O’Neal.
The eulogy spoke extensively of the type of child Demiah was; a constant ‘A’ student at her school, fashion conscious, very ambitious and most of all a young girl who had great respect for family. It was noted that her younger brother would be one who would most definitely miss her most as they spent most of their ‘at home’ time very close to each other.
The sending off of the 11 year-old was titled “Graduation celebration to heaven” and saw a large cross-section of the Virgin Gorda community congregating at the Sanctuary of Hope Church, many for the most part weeping tears of celebration now that she is in a safer place. There were those whose tears spoke many different languages as they pondered the sudden passing.
The reaction of her school peers could not go un-noticed as it was obvious that it was hard for them to fathom her sudden and untimely passing.
Consoling both her parents was something close loved ones took on very carefully as they both obviously were very broken.
Among those who were present to share the final moment with the family of the late Demiah O. O’Neal were Ninth District Representative and leader of the Virgin Islands Party (VIP) Honourable Ralph T. O’Neal OBE, Minister for Education and Culture Honourable Myron V. Walwyn and First District Representative Honourable Andrew A. Fahie.
The 11-year-old's sudden death had rocked the Virgin Gorda community and many described her passing as ‘mysterious’. Today February 22, 2014 she was laid to rest at the O’Neal Family Cemetery.

I again give the family of this dear child by condolences. Grieve in peace and don't read the crap from people like this thoughtless morron.
Really humble and cool guy. God Bless
