SETTING POINT, Anegada, VI- Major upgrades are currently ongoing on the Anegada Ferry Terminal, the BVI Ports Authority (BVIPA) has said.

These upgrades will prepare the terminal on the Sister Island for international arrivals and departures.

Work commenced on October 5, 2025, to ensure compliance with international standards, and certain security upgrades will be implemented, according to a press release from the BVIPA dated October 23, 2025.

Details of upgrade

The release added that the upgrades include a new strategically placed 40-foot container office to accommodate His Majesty’s Customs, Immigration, Ferry Agents, and BVIPA staff.

The upgrade also includes a covered waiting area and the construction of additional restrooms. Fencing is also being installed to meet international standards. A main and secondary gate to control passenger access to the dock as required will also be installed.

“These improvements aim to provide a safer, more comfortable, and efficient terminal for all ferry passengers,” the release stated.

Upgrades are expected to be completed by mid-November 2025.
