‘Magical weekend’ for Tortola as Aladdin Pantomime to dominate
Entitled Aladdin, and performed by members of Limelight Productions BVI, the show would actually be held from Friday February 16, 2012 at 7 p.m. and on Saturday and Sunday at the same time. There would also be a special matinee of Aladdin pantomine for children at 2 p.m. on Sunday.
According to Producer/Director of the show Paul Cowlard, the audience can expect a lot of fun as the show would involve a lot of interaction with the audience. He also said the show would be a very colourful, comical and entertaining one that would see a cross section of talent from the Virgin Islands on display.
Mr. Cowlard told Virgin Islands News Online the cast of characters, which number 20, would be involved in dancing, singing and acting and is inviting persons to bring out the entire family to have a fun filled time.
The show was never performed before but Limelight Productions BVI already did a pantomime of another classic tale Cinderella, which Mr. Cowlard said went very well.
After the show the cast of characters would also meet members of the audience and persons wishing to join the local club would be free to express their desire during that meet and greet session.
