ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- The Digicel and Riteway $60,000 Christmas Cash Grab promotion wrapped up in exciting and lucrative fashion last evening at the Riteway parking lot in Pasea Estate as persons were able to make some healthy grabs including a whopping $9410 cash haul by Roy Richards.

Richards earned a full minute in the vault after emerging as the winner of the Question and Answer segment, where host Paul “Gadiethz” Peart posed several questions pertaining to the season to the group of persons who were lucky enough to have their names drawn for the chance to enter the vault.

The lucky customer, who said he was persuaded to enter his name into the draw by a cashier at Riteway, made every second and grab count as he stuffed as much notes as he could under his shirt and by the time the 60 seconds had expired it was anyone’s guess that he was going to win big as he exited with quite a “belly”.

His winnings were $9410 in cash, $4370 in Digicel credit, $3570 in Riteway vouchers, and cellphones.

Asked what he intends to do with his winnings, Richards told Virgin islands News Online that in the spirit of Christmas he intends to share his joy as well as pay some of his bills.

Richards win was the largest of the drawings held. The second largest winner was Rondel Smith of Anegada, who pocketed over $6,500 in cash and prizes on Wednesday evening December 14, 2011.

The next successful grabber last evening was Celsus Jack, who took for himself $3880 cash, $1580 Digicel credit and $860 in Riteway vouchers. Serica Cornney made good for herself with $530 cash, $1040 in Riteway vouchers and $1670 digicel credit.

Cash was also grabbed on behalf of the Adina Donovan Home and Rainbow Children Home and persons in attendance were also able to win prizes.

Digicel and Riteway customers were able to qualify for the vault by topping up $15 or more, buying a phone, paying a bill in full and on time, activating a new service or shopping for $15 or more at any Riteway supermarket.

The whole gang of Christmas characters was at Pasea yesterday including Santa Claus and his helpers and Frostie the Snowman, which made the affair quite an exciting one for especially the children who were seen dancing merrily during the intermissions.
