ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- An area of low pressure in the Atlantic Ocean, about 700 miles east-southeast of the Virgin Islands, is producing showers and storms.

According to the Department of Disaster Management (DDM) today, July 21, 2025, right now, it is not expected to become a strong storm, but it could still bring some wet and windy weather around Wednesday and Thursday of this week.

“The most intense part of this system is likely just to the south of us,” DDM stated.

Possible impacts include periods of rain, gusty winds, and choppy seas.

“Even if this system does not become a storm, it can still bring heavy rain and gusty winds. Now is a good time to get ready,” DDM advised.
