Long Trench woman charged for being armed with offensive weapon, assault

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- A woman from Long Trench was among the persons arrested and charged during the period February 7 to February 2021, after she was allegedly armed with an offensive weapon, according to the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) Arrest Blotter.

According to the RVIPF, on February 9, 2021 at 6:30pm, police arrested and charged Sheynela Smith, 27, of Long Trench with Being Armed with An Offensive Weapon and Assault Occasioning Actual Bodily Harm.

Smith was granted bail in the sum of $5,000 with one signed surety to appear before Magistrate's Court on April 7, 2021.

CARRYING A FIREARM WITHOUT A LICENCE

On 07-02-2021 at 1647hrs, Police arrested and charged Dabari Jonique Mercer, 26, of Baughers Bay for Carrying Firearm without a Licence and eight counts for Prohibition of Tint on Window of Motor Vehicle.

BURGLARY

On 09-02-2021 at 1750hrs, Police arrested and charged Teah King, 23, of Main Street for Burglary and Criminal Damage. Bail was granted in the sum of $10,000 with a signed surety for her appearance before the Magistrate’s Court at 23-02-2021. 

THREAT TO KILL

On 15-02-2021 at 0525hrs, Police arrested and charged Sherebe Lettsome, 31, of Long Look.  He appeared before the Magistrate’s Court and was remanded until 24-03-2021. 

DRIVING WITHOUT A DRIVER’S LICENSE

On 17-02-2021 at 2100hrs, Police arrested and charged Jevar Travis David Hunt, 24, of Lower Estate for Driving without a Driver’s Licence. He was granted bail in the sum of $1,500 with one signed surety to appear at Magistrate's Court on 01-04-2021 at 0900hrs.

UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED DRUG

On 19-02-2021 at 2105hrs, Police arrested and charged Lester Mercer, 20, of Baughers Bay, for Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Drug.  He was granted bail in the sum of $2,000 with one signed surety for his appearance at the Magistrate’s Court on 01-04-2021 at 0900hrs.  

RECKLESS DRIVING, FAIL TO STOP AT THE SOUND OF SIREN

On 18-02-2021 at 0605, Police arrested and charged Kalisha Martin for Reckless Driving and Failing to Stop at the Sound of a Siren. He was granted bail in the sum of $1,500 with one signed surety to appear at Magistrate's Court 01-04-2021 at 0900hrs.
