ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Local entrepreneur and fashion designer, Kristin C. Frazer, has expressed that she is ecstatic about being featured in the upcoming edition of fashion magazine, Marie Claire.

Kristin’s work for her company, Trèfle Designs, is scheduled to be showcased when the June edition of Marie Claire hits news stands this coming weekend.

In a press release issued earlier today, May 28, 2013, it was announced that the swimwear designer would be introducing fashionistas to her edgy line of bikinis and one-pieces in the June pages of Marie Claire, a widely read women’s beauty and fashion magazine, which includes advice on relationships and styling products.

The local designer said she was approached by an editor of Marie Claire for the feature after the editor had seen her work online and from shows she had done.

Her bold new collection, dubbed Mosaic, was featured at the Scrub Island Resort in addition to the Cayman Islands Fashion Week during April.

Kristin said pieces from the collection are already available in stores but are in limited quantities. “I am only bringing in one of each size of each colour and each style,” she said while alluding to the need for distinction given the relatively small size of the local population.

Kristin revealed she has also been featured in Essence Magazine, SHE Caribbean and the local Posh Magazine previously as well. Her designs can be accessed at Clover’s in Road Town as well as the Scrub Island Resort.

Trèfle Designs also has locations in Harlem and Manhattan in New York and Kristin revealed she is currently in discussions with persons in Jamaica in efforts to establish a base in that location.

According to the press release sent today, since launching Trèfle in 2008, Kristin has developed her Caribbean Swimwear brand into a household name with runway shows stretching from the Caribbean down to Guyana, South America onto the North American catwalks of New York City.

Kristin said her work has been well supported locally but still feels sales could be a bit improved despite the dynamics that currently exist. She encouraged persons to come out and support the Mosaic line while products were still available.

The local designer said she would someday also love to be featured on the pages Vogue, Elle, Cosmopolitan and Seventeen Magazines and is committed to working towards achieving these goals.

Congrates Christine. But why all your strength is on America and the Caribbean why not Britain since yo'all treat Caribbean people so bad? See after all we still need each other to grow. ONE WORLD ONE PEOPLE.
