Local attorney Ayana S. Hull returns to Maples Group after over a decade @ Harneys

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Highly regarded local lawyer Ayana S. Hull has departed Harneys after 12 years there and has returned to Maples Group.

Hull last served as head of the BVI Private Wealth and Regulatory practice groups at Harneys, but has now rejoined Maples Group where she previously worked from December 2007 to September 2013.

“We are thrilled to welcome Ayana Hull as partner and head of our British Virgin Islands Regulatory & Financial Services team,” Maples Group announced on social media on Saturday, February 28, 2026.

“With over 20 years' experience in BVI commercial and regulatory law, Ayana's appointment reflects our continued investment in our BVI practice and global regulatory capabilities,” Maples Group added.

Highly regarded lawyer

Recognised by Legal 500 and IFLR as a leading practitioner, Hull advises corporations, financial institutions, trustees and high net worth clients across regulatory compliance, licensing, AML/CTF, corporate structuring, data protection and digital assets.

Hull is a former chairperson of the BVI Financial Services Commission’s (FSC) appointed Securities, Investment Business Act Advisory Committee. She is recognised as a leading partner in the Virgin Islands by Legal 500 in the Virgin Islands Regulatory and Compliance rankings in 2025.

The daughter of the Virgin Islands soil is also recognised as a highly regarded lawyer by IFLR rankings.

    They claim her as daughter of the soil here but the truth is they despise the territorial song just because it was written by her and her brother, non indigenous they label them...they do not recognise them then.
