Lionheart beat Islanders in thriller to lift 2026 President's Cup

It was a game fitting of a final on Sunday, October 24, 2026, when defending National League Champions Lionheart lived up to their name in clawing their way back from 2-nil down in regulation time to eventually beat Islanders on penalties in the final of the BVI Football Association (BVIFA) 2026 President's Cup at the Technical Centre in Greenland. GREENLAND, Tortola, VI- It was a game fitting of a final on Sunday, October 24, 2026, when defending National League Champions Lionheart lived up to their name in clawing their way back from 2-nil down in regulation time to eventually beat Islanders on penalties in the final of the BVI Football Association (BVIFA) 2026 President's Cup at the Technical Centre in Greenland.

Lionheart found themselves trailing by 2 goals, and like a plot out of a movie, it got even worse for them when two of their players were given marching orders.

The game is never over until the final whistle; however, as LionHeart managed to level the score and send the game to penalties, where they prevailed.

More details to follow.
