ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Unstable weather conditions associated with a lingering trough will continue across the region today, September 30, 2022, the Department of Disaster Management (DDM) has said.

According to DDM, possible rainfall total for the forecast period is 13 to 36 mm or 0.5 to 1.50 inches.

Weather today: Cloudy with a 70 percent or high chance of showers.

Weather tonight: Cloudy with showers and a 40 percent or moderate chance of thunderstorms.

Winds: Southeast at 7 to 19 km/h or 4 to 12 mph.

Seas: 1 to 1.5 metres or 3 to 5 feet.

Sunset today: 6:08 pm.

No speeding is necessary- DDM

"Due to the conditions of the lingering trough, updates may be posted throughout the day if changes may occur.

"We encourage everyone to be careful on these wet roads. You should drive with extreme caution and no speeding is necessary. Unnecessary speeding may cause vehicles to lose control and traffic accidents may occur," DDM advised.
