ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Word reaching our news room recently is that LIME Virgin Islands General Manager Sean L. Auguste is no longer the top man at the telecommunications giant.

Mr Auguste’s last day on the job was August 30, 2015 and it remains unclear if he was forced out.

No new manager has been named for LIME Virgin Islands (VI).

Mr Auguste spent some 28 years with Cable and Wireless now LIME. Up to press time he could not be reached for a comment. He has been at the helm in the Virgin Islands market for the last five years.

In those years he oversaw some major infrastructural development for the company, however, LIME's local market share has dropped with the introduction of Digicel into the VI market.

Ken Guiste next!

Meanwhile, as the shakeup continues, LIME’s Head of Business Sales and Services Mr Ken Guiste will be next to go.

Word reaching our news room is that his last day on the job will be September 30, 2015. According this news site’s sources close to the situation, LIME has made his job redundant.

In fact, they have made the Head of Sales post redundant throughout the region.

“Cable and Wireless has decided to remove the Head of Sales role from the region and so that has included myself,” Mr Guiste told Virgin Islands News Online when reached today, September 19, 2015.

Well known for his ever pleasant demeanour, Mr Guiste said he is still contemplating his moves as he has one or two “irons in the fire” but is not sure whether he would remain in the Virgin Islands or manage his hotel in Dominica, Calibishie Cove.

“It’s a sad time for me because I made it my place to support any inquiries of the business and have interacted with many customers here and I was always committed to coming up with resolutions to whatever problems they had and helping them and the company to develop further.”

Our news room will be the first to keep you updated on the ongoing shakeups at LIME and who may be next.
