Leeann Forbes retired DMV officer has died
The deceased who was born on October 16, 1969, died at the age of 48 on Wednesday, April 11, 2018, at Peebles Hospital after being ill for some time.
The late Ms Forbes is survived by two children; a boy and a girl. She has spent her entire career in the civil service, first working at the Inland Revenue Department and at the time of her passing had retired this year from the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) located in the R & R Malone Complex on the main Island of Tortola, where she worked for some 8 years.
She worked for the government for over 29 years.
Avid sports fan & loved by all
She was an avid sports fan and played softball. In their social network tribute, the BVI Softball Association (BVISA) praised Leeann as an avid supporter of the games, often attending to support the Sea Cows Bay Hawks and her son during his time playing.
"The presence and spirit of Ms Forbes will forever be missed," said members of the BVISA with much sadness.
DVM very sad
Commissioner of the DMV, Kye M. Rymer when contacted said his staff was "heartbroken" to learn of the passing of Ms Forbes.
Mr Rymer expressed, "Leeann was always a dedicated and professional member of our staff, she was the life of the party, and we are deeply saddened…”
