ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Acting Premier in the Virgin Islands (VI) Dr the Honourable Natalio D. Wheatley (R7) has called on the people of the territory to keep first lady, Ms Sheila E. Forbes-Fahie and her Fahie family in prayers in light of the detainment of Premier Andrew A. Fahie (R1) in the US.

The calls came after Premier Fahie along with Managing Director of the BVI Ports Authority Ms Oleanvine Pickering-Maynard were on April 28, 2022, both detained by the US Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) in Miami on charges related to conspiracy to import a controlled substance and money laundering in the US.

The son of Ms Maynard, Kadeem S. Maynard was also arrested Thursday, April 28, 2022, in connection with the undercover DEA case but not in Miami, according to authorities.

The Acting Premier on Thursday, evening, April 28, 2022, while calling for ‘due process’ for both the Premier and BVIPA MD said he did not speak with the two, however, had dialogue with the wife of the Premier.

“I have spoken with First lady Sheila Forbes-Fahie, let us all keep her and the family in our prayers at this difficult time,” he said.

Pray earnestly - Hon Penn

Meanwhile, Opposition Leader, Hon Marlon A. Penn (R8) also called in citizens, residents, and friends to pray earnestly and work with great resolve and steadfast focus on the improvement of VI.

Mr and Mrs Fahie have been married for over 24 years, bearing two children from the union, with Hon Fahie currently VI’s third Premier while Mrs Fahie is the Territory’s 6th First Lady.

Mrs Fahie is also a Banker by profession and has stood by her husband’s side throughout his 20-plus-year political career, 12 of which were spent while he was a member of the Opposition.

@ next. He blocked the Holy Spirit to talk to him because he was dealing with the Devil. Praying for him is useless. His wife had to know because pillow talk is always in a relationship, plus, how does she think he could afford so much? Not on a Premier's salary. So disappointed and sick of this. It goes to show you, never put your trust or faith in any human.

For all the scriptures he quoted, he chose to dabble in witchcraft and deception to name a few and using God’s name in vain. We don’t really know if he was praying to a god and not God Almighty.

Proverbs 29:4 A just king gives stability to his nation, but one who demands bribes destroys it.

2 Peter 2:3 And in their greed they will exploit you with false words. Their condemnation from long ago is not idle, and their destruction is not asleep.

Isaiah 5:20 Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!

Prayer works best when one confess and forsake their sin /wrong doing. For too long now the territory have been called for pray and fast yet there is no repentance we continue in our unrighteous acts. Repentance should begin in the Church. Worship of God is not just about a group of women singing, music and dancing. It includes pleasing God daily in what we do. We cannot call on God with one side if our mouths and praise baal with the next side.
    • REPENT, PRAY, FAST, OBEY GOD’S LAWS (30/04/2022, 19:31) Like (2) Dislike (0) Reply
You make a lot of valid points EXCEPT REPENTANCE DOES NOT begin in the church it begins on YOUR KNEES.

REPENT, PRAY, FAST, OBEY GOD’S LAWS

We need to keep the BVI in prayers. This must indeed be hard on the First Lady and family as this would not affect their love for him. However, when we benefit from the riches of criminal behavior, we have to also prepare for the shortfall. Accusations of money laundering have been around for a long time. This could not have come as a total shock. Nevertheless, people make bad choices but it doesn’t mean that we should withdraw out love.

@ Jay. Hard on the First Lady and family? How about hard on all of us who trusted him? Hard on the entire BVI, not just his family!!! He caused hardship and embarrassment to all of us! Stop choosing and picking only his.

Dear Heavenly Father please cover Mrs Fahie, her daughters and the rest of the Fahie family especially his Mom with your love and a shield of protection. Lord we know they are going through a tough time. Please comfort them. Amen
To the family please tell Mrs Fahie not to read the blogs. It has to be really depressing for her. We still love her. We do not blame the family in any way. Sheila is a humble lady.

As a Banker by profession, I suppose Sheila knew that her family was living way above their means. And she had to have had a good idea where all the extra money was coming from. . . Sorry, not sorry. I can't feel sorry for her because she knew, because she is a BANKER. Sorry though for the kids, and they will suffer terribly.

Whom are we praying too? Cause according to the file affidavit- Fahie has indicated his belief in magic and witches, which is synonymous with Obeah. We not sending any prayers if our prayers are meant to enhance obeah.

Of course she did. Don’t let that quiet mousey look fool you. She knew but she chose to stay complacent and comfortable with it. I agree, my heart goes to the girls because they are innocent and is not involved in dirty ness that was going on. I don’t care what they do with him and her, no empathy from me.

I am not praying for anyone who is involved in bad behavior. The whole world is mocking, laughing and talking about us. No one is going to do business with us, the tourist industry is going to back off. No one wants to be associated with the BVI Right now. We allow one man to destroy us all. And by the way, DISTRICT 1, handle your own S..t about who is going to take care of you all. All of you in District1 stuck your hands in Pandora’s box.

Perhaps you shoud consider saying most in D1 but not all. I live in D1 along with close friends and family there is a sprinkling of us..we aint never condone him, nor regard him as our rep. Never voted for him and have always denounced him as a man of integrity. So DO NOT SPEAK FOR ALL IN D1 AS YOU KNOW NOT WHAT YOU SPEAK!!! There is a lot of them yes but not all drank the AF koolaid...so you are doing what the world is doing..a set support and vote for him..so you lump us all in one basket. A minority went go mKe a drug deal so all of us in BVI are traffickers and dealers??????? Sickening

Let’s also pray for the mothers who lost their sons through gun violence and the children who will grow up without a father because guns were brought into the territory and blind eyes were turned all for financial gains. My heart bleeds for those as well.

To see our Premier in prisoners clothes, brings tears. What will become of BVIslanders? What will become of of the BVI?

I'm trying to understand. I know many have asked for prayers, but we have heard this man talk about prayers so frequently and now this!
To talk of witches, and all of political fixing; what did he fix with the witches?

It's just a bad feeling all around. I usually walk with my head held high, prouder to be a BVIslander. Now, my head hangs with shame, shame I had no cause, nor a part of.

..We shall see, what we shall see..

When you sow to the wind you reap the whirlwind. Fahie reaped what he sowed. People lie steal and cheat to live above their means just to keep up with the Jones. I am a Virgin Islander by birth living in the USA. I have no compassion for him. He was placed in authority and he abused his power. He is an embarrassment to the nation. I guess he never watched the shawshank redemption movie. Karma is a bitch. He is getting what he deserve. How stupid can one be to think he could get away with his crimes especially in the USA? The prayers of the innocent have finally been heard. I hope those guys in prison keep him on his knees every day.
