ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Noting that often our fathers who are doing a great job do not feel seen, acknowledged, or appreciated, Premier and Minister of Finance Dr the Hon Natalio D. Wheatley (R7) has let them know that he recognises them.

"With this fathers day message, I am letting all of you know I see you. And keep doing your best for your children. Keep taking them to basketball practice. Keep picking them up from school. Keep teaching them your trade. Showing them how to drive. Keep walking in integrity, for your children will be blessed after you," Premier Wheatley stated in his Fathers Day message today, June 21, 2026.

'A father's example'

According to the Premier, a father's example is a powerful thing.

"To young impressionable minds, a father can demonstrate what respect looks like. What hard work looks like. What courage and kindness looks like. What following through looks like. I thank God for every lesson I learned from my father and the father figures in my life. One of the greatest joys in my life is being a father to my children."

The Premier also extended special greetins to the fathers of the 7th district,
