K’Dyah L. James makes final cut for 44th Caribbean Talented Teen Pageant
The Miss Teen British Virgin Islands Organisation announced on Friday, October 23, 2026, that K’Dyah was chosen from a field of applicants representing fifteen Caribbean countries and territories.
Her selection puts the Virgin Islands among finalists for the long-standing regional competition, which celebrates the talent, culture, and leadership of young women from across the Caribbean.
A proud moment for the Territory
Under the pageant theme, 'Radiant Treasures of the Caribbean', Miss James will present a national treasure from the Virgin Islands. Her presentation is expected to highlight the territory’s rich heritage, vibrant culture, and natural beauty as she competes on the regional stage.
She was crowned Miss Teen BVI 2026 on Saturday, September 26, during a coronation ceremony at Treasure Isle Hotel, succeeding outgoing titleholder Miss Maya Z.V. Marcellin.
Continuing a historic legacy
The announcement added that her participation continues a proud tradition of Virgin Islands representation at the Haynes Smith pageant. In 2025, Miss Marcellin made history as the first Miss Teen BVI to capture the Haynes Smith Miss Caribbean Talented Teen title, winning the competition in St. Kitts and Nevis.
Miss Marcellin’s victory was celebrated as a milestone for the territory, and Miss James now has the opportunity to build on that legacy as she represents the Virgin Islands internationally.
Community support encouraged
The Miss Teen British Virgin Islands Organisation congratulated Miss James on her selection and encouraged residents, supporters, and well-wishers across the territory to rally behind her as she prepares for the December competition.
“K’Dyah will represent the British Virgin Islands with confidence, talent, and pride,” the organisation stated, inviting the community to support her throughout her pageant journey.
