ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- The Rotary Club of Tortola has joined the territory in mourning the sudden passing of its Past President and Director of Communications in the Premier's Office, Karia J. Christopher.

Mrs Christopher passed away on Friday, December 5, 2025.

More than a leader

According to the Rotary Club of Tortola, Rotarian Christopher's passing leaves "a deep emptiness" in the club and in the hearts of everyone who knew her.

"Karia was more than a leader; she was a friend, a mentor, and a steady, joyful presence in our Rotary family. She brought warmth, laughter, and kindness to every interaction and had a remarkable way of making each of us feel seen and valued. Her courage, generosity, and dedication to service inspired us all," the Club stated on its Facebook page.

'Grateful'

The Rotary Club of Tortola also said it is "grateful" for the life she lived so beautifully, for the wisdom she shared, and for the joy she brought to the club and community.

"While we grieve her loss, we also celebrate her legacy and the many ways she touched our lives.

"Our thoughts and prayers are with her family, friends, and everyone who loved her. Rest in peace, Karia your light will always shine in our hearts."
