SEA COWS BAY, Tortola, VI- Former Speaker of the House of Assembly and businessman Mr Julian Willock, in collaboration with his Third District Committee and Ms Kishma P. Forbes of Virgin Islands School and Office Supplies, hosted a Children's Christmas Party on Sunday, December 7, 2025.

The party, which was held at the Valerie O. Thomas Community Centre in Sea Cows Bay, ran from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

Moment of Silence for Karia

After the opening prayer led by Third District resident Reverend Yvonne Nibbs-Flores, Ms Forbes initiated a moment of silence for the late Karia J. Christopher, a prominent member of the Third District who passed away suddenly last week. Mr Willock expressed his sorrow, noting that Ms Christopher was a "close friend" and he is "still in shock over her passing." He urged residents to keep her family in their prayers as they mourn this significant loss.

The event was attended by over 100 children, who joyfully sang a song for the adults, contributing to the festive atmosphere. One of the highlights of the party was a raffle, with a total prize value exceeding $10,000. Although Santa Claus did not make an appearance this year, guests enjoyed music provided by Selector Taz, as well as food, drinks, and the lighting of the Christmas tree.

Gratitude from Willock

Mr Willock, according to a press release, acknowledged the strong community support for the event and reaffirmed his commitment to giving back to his district. He also told residents that he has a five-year plan for District Three.

All raffle winners were announced, and those present received their prizes, while arrangements were made for contacting the winners who were not in attendance. Mr Willock expressed his gratitude for the sustained support from local businesses and praised the residents of District Three, along with Ms Forbes and his committee, for their contributions to the event.

Mr. Willock has set a presidents in the sea cow bay district. You’re so right about not mentioning Mr. Fraser aka Hercules. I don’t think it was intentional. But I am pretty sure there is a plan that Mr. Willock have in mind for the passing of Mr. Fraser aka Hercules to come. This guy was a wonderful man. He was great at his craft such an amazingly and talented builder and a jack of many trades. I know Hercules for such a long time… He has contributed to the community whole heartedly. I thank him for the many visits to my father home. Always willing to help and give his time. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
