Julian Willock's 3D Raffle & Christmas Party for children a huge success!
The party, which was held at the Valerie O. Thomas Community Centre in Sea Cows Bay, ran from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
Moment of Silence for Karia
After the opening prayer led by Third District resident Reverend Yvonne Nibbs-Flores, Ms Forbes initiated a moment of silence for the late Karia J. Christopher, a prominent member of the Third District who passed away suddenly last week. Mr Willock expressed his sorrow, noting that Ms Christopher was a "close friend" and he is "still in shock over her passing." He urged residents to keep her family in their prayers as they mourn this significant loss.
The event was attended by over 100 children, who joyfully sang a song for the adults, contributing to the festive atmosphere. One of the highlights of the party was a raffle, with a total prize value exceeding $10,000. Although Santa Claus did not make an appearance this year, guests enjoyed music provided by Selector Taz, as well as food, drinks, and the lighting of the Christmas tree.
Gratitude from Willock
Mr Willock, according to a press release, acknowledged the strong community support for the event and reaffirmed his commitment to giving back to his district. He also told residents that he has a five-year plan for District Three.
All raffle winners were announced, and those present received their prizes, while arrangements were made for contacting the winners who were not in attendance. Mr Willock expressed his gratitude for the sustained support from local businesses and praised the residents of District Three, along with Ms Forbes and his committee, for their contributions to the event.

He also expressed a heartfelt Thank You to all kind sponsors of the Third District Children Christmas Party: Biras Creek Resort, Peter Island Resort, Akeem Pickering, Caribbean Insurance Limited, BCQS, The French Deli, Nanny Cay Resort & Marina, Tortola Auto Group, Necker Island BVI, Blue Water Divers, Scrub Island Resort & Spa, Delta Petroleum, Nagico Insurance, CharterPort BVI, OneMart Supermarket, Pirate’s Bight Restaurant & Bar, Tortola Concrete Ltd., Moskito Island, Caribbean Cellars Ltd., Sugar Mill Hotel, RiteWay Food Markets, iSmart, PMK Construction, Hon Lorna G.
