Juanita Jardine is VI’s top CSEC student with 10 Grade 1s
The Caribbean Examination Council (CXC) released official 2026 CSEC and CAPE results in Anguilla earlier this week.
Other top-performing students were Valisa Jardine (St George’s Episcopal School- Secondary Division) with 9 Grade Ones and 1 Grade Two, Amber Hastings (BVI Seventh-day Adventist School) with 8 Grade Ones and Three Grade Twos, Judith Case (Elmore Stoutt High School) with 7 Grade Ones, Demique Dennis Hogan (Elmore Stoutt High School) with 7 Grade Ones, and Sabirah Wheatley (Elmore Stoutt High School) with 7 Grade Ones.
The Ministry of Education, Youth Affairs and Sports congratulated these outstanding students, as well as every candidate who demonstrated commitment and perseverance throughout the examination period.
100% pass rate in 11 subjects recorded
The VI also recorded a 100 per cent pass rate in Agricultural Science; Caribbean History; Economics; Family and Resource Management; Food, Nutrition and Health; French; Industrial Technology (Building); Industrial Technology (Mechanical); Music; Physical Education and Sport; Technical Drawing; Textiles, Clothing and Fashion; Theatre Arts; and Visual Arts.
Pass rates between 90 and 99 per cent were also achieved in Office Administration, Integrated Science, English A, Human and Social Biology, Information Technology, EDPM, Principles of Business, Principles of Accounts and Biology. Five subjects recorded pass rates between 80% and 89%: Chemistry, Spanish, Social Studies, Geography and English B.
The Ministry revealed that Creative Arts also recorded exceptional performance, with Music, Theatre Arts and Visual Arts each achieving a 100% pass rate, resulting in a combined Creative Arts pass rate of 100%.
Technical and Vocational Subjects: Family and Resource Management; Food, Nutrition and Health; Industrial Technology (Building); Industrial Technology (Mechanical); Technical Drawing; and Textiles, Clothing and Fashion also achieved a combined pass rate of 100 per cent.
CAPE results
The Ministry of Education also revealed that 100 per cent of reported Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination (CAPE) results were passing grades.
Kayla Briggs (H. Lavity Stoutt Community College) achieved Grade I in Biology Unit 2, Grade I in Chemistry Unit 2 and Grade II in Pure Mathematics Unit 2. Tylah Blaize (H. Lavity Stoutt Community College) achieved Grade II in Pure Mathematics Unit 1.
The ministry noted that, compared with 2025, CAPE participation decreased slightly; however, the overall pass rate held steady at 100%.
