Journalist Esther C. Durand loses battle with cancer

ROSEAU, Dominica- Young Journalist Esther C. Durand, who worked in the Virgin Islands (VI) with different media houses before returning to her homeland Dominica recently, has died.

Ms Durand passed away this morning, May 1, 2022, after being hospitalised for a period of time in Dominica.

According to reports, Ms Durand had returned to Dominica earlier this year after being ill for some time and it was on her return home that she was diagnosed with Stage 4 Ovarian Cancer.

During her time in the Virgin Islands, Ms Durand worked with VI Life and Style Magazine, BVI News and BVI Platinum News.

Ms Durand, who was a Member of the Lions Club of Tortola, last celebrated her birthday on April 14, 2022.

The Management and Staff of Virgin Islands News Online extend sincere condolences to the family and friends of the late Esther Durand.

    I hope Esther Durand knew Jesus and was Born Again. We know we must be Born Again as Jesus told us. Our xPremier is in Detention in The Southern District of Florida and I pray he too will repent and be Born Again. Have you repented and are you Born Again as Jesus said you must be? Please, we now know how short time is and at any moment our time can be up on this earth, which is the only place we can repent and be Baptized and Born Again or the Lake of Fire is our reward. Be very careful that Jesus does not tell you, " I do not know you!" And so you get thrown into the Lake of Fire. Wake UP

      Yes. That was her. She started hemorrhaging after she took that vaccine. Esther and I got along very well. This is a shock to me... Oh my. Condolences to her family..
