Josef George tops Reverbnation music chart for 2nd week in a row

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- For a second week in a row Virgin Islands’ artiste Josef George has come out number one on Reverbnation’s R&B/Soul charts for Augusta, GA.

George, who recently returned to the USA after spending the Christmas season on Tortola, Virgin Islands, rose to the top of the R&B/Soul charts two weeks ago with his song 'New Girl'.

Reverbnation’s latest results saw George remaining at number one for the week ending January 14, 2016.

The young Virgin Islander had expressed delight and gratitude for the achievement during an exclusive interview with Virgin Islands News Online from the United States on Sunday January 10, 2016.

 "I am very grateful and thankful to be recognised and for this song to place number one on the charts. I am very proud of this song and I have to thank the people who were instrumental in getting the song where it is. It took a lot of marketing,” Mr George had said.

‘New Girl’ was produced in 2012 and released in 2013. Parts of the video for New Girl were shot on Tortola, including in Road Town. The video is available on Youtube and has so far received 197, 729 views.

I appreciate everyone's support, and I will continue to work hard at putting out good music for everyone to enjoy. I also would like to take this time out to acknowledge and thank my loving fans. Another one of his videos on Youtube,  High School Sweetheart, has 404, 385 views.

    The First time I heard this youngster performed was to one of those primary school talent shows Hon. Fahie as Minister of Education use to have at the Cultural Center. He blew the fans away. I am so proud of him. I am also so happy for him.
