WICKHAM'S CAY 1, Tortola, VI - Information reaching our News Centre is that gunmen robbed a jewellery store at the Cyril B. Romney Tortola Pier Park minutes ago, Tuesday, December 2, 2025.
It is unclear whether anyone has been injured in the broad daylight heist.
The armed robbers made their escape in a go-fast vessel.
People in the area were able to capture the escape on camera.

It was on Saturday, July 1, 2023, that gunmen daringly robbed jewellery store, House of Luxury, at Cyril B. Romney Tortola Pier Park in broad daylight.

Only when there are visible loopholes do criminals attack. And the Pier Park has many. My concern is flor the children that traverse the Poer Park with parents who either don't care, or think it's a safe place, when it is not.
They left some demons while you all think you all was winning. The price tag on this incident is over $7.5 mil

didnt the ministers and the amazing "board members" got together and brain storm and implemented security measures against this from happening again? lol yall put arm gates and more cameras but nothing barracade the easily accessible docks? you forgot we live in a culture where having fast boats and coming in and out the bvi illegally is a common thing.... we got no coast guard just police and lazy customs but yall wan independence? aight if yall dont wanna lose ur tourism product you better invest in some propery measures and arm people or have armed officers swinging by every couple hours in hot locations like pier... remember in 2020 lockdown when vg and tola keep having breaks in over and over like the two islands was competeing ? lets hope tola criminals and beloved gunman/business man dont compete to see who can rob pier park the most
imgaine if a cruise was in..... we does really mess up we self boi... but yea keep promoting parties, keep promoting festival, keep promoting nightlife , rum, jewlery, scandolous women,gangs etc we going see if any changes or gets worst. these guy wanna party smoke and live fast and enjoy the party carefree life but that comes at a cost and there big brains going think get gun to get more money so i can sustain my sex life, party life, and jewelry lifestyle... what the song yall does be shouting at these events? she luv gunman? she luv badman? okay once you dont mind the gunman robbing your neightbor,friend,family,party etc..... once yall dont mind when the gunman got to do what he gotta do to stay afloat but keep supporting them and hype up the younger people to support and partake in that life smh
Lax law enforcement can embolden criminals and create a perception that rules are not being enforced. This seemingly lack of regulation in the virgin islands can undermine civil liberties and lead to an erosion of public safety.
Watch them, they are part of the robbery squad.

2. A set of new police officers was added less than a month ago. Yet you dont see any police in town.
Jah help us all because from the governor to the rookie officers are all a waste of time.
And I agree they just sign up for the cash, I could say much more.
These crimes have happened before yet on any given day, you could hardly see a Police Officer in Road Town or the wider community unless they are responding to a traffic collision or giving tickets. While these are necessary, it would appear that this is the only area of enforcement that is necessary.
Firstly, recruitment and training seem to be an issue. Why would you recruit a person in the Force when you are aware that that has a pre physical condition that would prevent them from carrying out duties aligned with Policing? Half of the persons who are recruited complain that they are unable to perform duties like simple foot patrol etc because of injuries sustained pre recruitment and have to be given light duties.
Others are ( I do not mean this as an insult) grossly overweight and there is no provision to help them.
On the other hand, how could you have Police Officers with the mostl minimal training and experience train recruits to be competent Police Officers?
The Police Force is at a stage where the only thing that matter is their own interest. Promotion and payday are at the top of their list.
The Police welfare department spend more time fighting for everything else other than looking out for the real things that would promote positive changes within the ranks. A gym would be a good start.
I could say a lot more like discipline within the ranks, ethical values and just a matter of doing what you are paid to to but it would require to.much writing.
Today we will see a troop parading on the Port and maybe...Just maybe in Road Town until things settles then it back to the barracks until the same things accur.
By the way. what is happening the the intelligence unit? Based on previous occurances,,. Why were they not able to predict or suspect a repeat of this crime?
It looks burglary gone out the door: Those Criminals Had to Navigate Through Road Town in That Boat also had to Sail Pass, The Police and Customs Marine Department And All Now No One Taken into Lawful in This little Territory
