Jacqueline E. Vanterpool is 'an inconvenient presence'- Claude O. Skelton-Cline
"I believe this is the official arm of the United Kingdom. They have things they want to do, and Jackie is an inconvenient presence," he remarked during his radio show, "Honestly Speaking," on ZBVI 780 AM, on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, while speaking against Governor Daniel Pruce’s decision to remove Ms Vanterpool as Acting CoP.
Skelton-Cline emphasised the importance of Virgin Islanders standing up for one another, stating, "We as a people need to stand up for each other, but more importantly, we need to stand up for our women."
Jackie takes her position with strength & honour
He added, "Jackie stands up. Jackie knows the rules and regulations we are governed by. She takes her position quietly, with strength and honour, and because they can't navigate and work through that and with that, they're pushing her out."
The social commentator also noted, "Jackie is somebody's daughter and those of you, let me deal with you, who are talking. Sooner or later, there may be some time in your life, or in the life of your daughter, or in the life of your son, that you will need somebody to speak up on their behalf without explanation."
Speak on her behalf
Skelton-Cline concluded that Vanterpool, who hails from Virgin Gorda, has demonstrated an exemplary life among us, showing her prowess, and "we are commanded" to speak on her behalf.
A march was planned for this afternoon, from the Road Town Police Station to the Office of the Governor, where a signed petition is to be given to Mr Pruce.

I totally agree
The democracy march was going to the HoA. Someone will have to be designated to walk over to the Governors with the petition or he can just look at it on line.
