It’s still all up for grabs in BD Basketball
In results over the Easter weekend, District 3 U13’s beat District 2 30-28 with Cymoi George scoring 9 points and adding 2 rebounds and 1 steal. D'moi Hodge contributed 10 points, 2 rebounds and 1 steal. For District 2, Carl Alexander scored 8 points, 3 rebounds and Timothy McLean 6 points and 4 rebounds.
In other U13 action, District 4 defeated District 2, 24-20. Ryan Richardson topped the charts with 10 points and 2 steals. Devante Brewley added 6 points and 1 rebound. For District 2, Hodge and George were again top of the point’s board with Hodge scoring 8 points, 2 rebounds and 2 steals. George added 6 points, 6 rebounds and 1 steal.
District 2 beat District 6, 24-12, led by Sajuan France scoring 7 points, 3 rebounds and 2 steals. Hodge again contributed, finishing with 6 points, 1 rebound, 7 steals and 3 assists. Kiebran Barney led District 6 with 3 points and 3 steals, Shaliqua Fahie adding another 3 points.
District 4 cruised past District 9, 31-12 thanks to Kedrick Mattthews 9 points, 2 rebounds and 5 steals. Richardson adding 6 points and 2 rebounds. For District 9, Stephano Paul scored 3 and Andre Rymer 2. Rymer added 5 rebounds.
In the U16 Division, District 2 beat District 3, 45-37, with Jmoi Liburd recording a double of 14 points and 11 steals. He also got 4 rebounds and 2 assists. Romain Minott finished with 14 points and 2 rebounds. Justin Solomon led District 3 with 16 points, 2 rebounds and 3 steals. Nathan Rodney finished with 7 points, 7 rebounds and 1 steal.
District 2 also took care of District 4, 34-13. Liburd and Minottboth scored 6 points, whilst Albert Hatchett scored 6 for District 4 and Sheldeen Joseph, 3.
District 6 defeated District 5, 29-21.Mickey Joseph doubled with 12 points, 17 rebounds and 1 steal. Shaqoiue Benjamin added 6 points, 3 rebounds, 1 steal and 1 assist. For District 5, Deangelo Sampson scored 8 points, 7 rebounds 1 steal; J'kwon Frett added 4 points, 3 rebounds, 1 steal and 3 assists.
District 6 also defeated District 2, 41-38, David George scored 12 points, 3 rebounds, 1 steal and 1 assist. Shaheed Barney added10 points, 6 rebounds, 1 steal and 1 assist. For District 2, Liburd and Minott scored 16 and 13 points respectively.
District 9 defeated District 4, 50-6, led by Stephan Cauls’ 10 points and 3 rebounds. Lishauan Fahie added 9 points and 1 rebound. For District 4, Jakhoy Walwyn scored 6 points, 1 rebound and 1 steal, whilst Albert Hachette picked up 5 rebounds.
In the Under 10’s, District 5 defeated District 9, 18-16. Laresha Martin scored 8 points, 3 rebounds and 5 steals. J'quan bodkin scored 6 points, 8 rebounds and 3 steals. For District 9, Kahmani Caul had 6 points and 1 steal, whilst Tyrece Carrasco finished with 4 points and 1 steal.
Another BD Basketball Bonanza is scheduled for the Multi Purpose Gym this Saturday starting from 9.00 a.m.
