Islanders suffer upset defeat in Terry Evans Cup opener

Islanders, who won the past two Terry Evans Cup tournaments, lost 4-5 from the penalty spot.
Rebels were later joined by Lion Heart and Wolues as the teams making it to the second round of the knockout tournament.
Over at the Virgin Gorda Recreation Ground, Lion Heart made a winning debut against Sea Argo, winning 4-nil while Wolues had a similar margin of victory against Old Madrid.
Play continues this Sunday, September 22, 2019 with another three games.
The ten teams in the knock out competition organised by the BVI Football Association (BVIFA) are Islanders, One Love, Sugar Boys, Panthers, Old Madrid, Wolues, Rebels, Sea Argo, One Caribbean and Lion Heart.
The Terry Evans Cup is named after the former BVIFA President and one of the forefathers of football in the [British] Virgin Islands.
