This new service fulfills a long-standing commitment to provide Guyanese travelers with more convenient access to Caribbean connectivity. interCaribbean has been working toward expanding operations to Ogle (OGL), responding to customer demand for service to the centrally located Georgetown airport.

The December 11 inaugural flight will include a special welcome ceremony at Ogle, with government officials and aviation stakeholders expected to attend. interCaribbean will continue to operate its existing service to Cheddi Jagan International Airport, with Ogle now providing an additional convenient option for regional travel.

Since launching service to Guyana in December 2021, interCaribbean Airways has become a vital link for Guyanese travelers. The addition of Ogle service enhances connectivity options, with the centrally located airport offering easier access for Georgetown residents traveling to Barbados, Grenada, Jamaica, and 20 other Caribbean destinations.

The "Spirit of Guyana" aircraft features the Guyana flag prominently on its tail and bears the name "Spirit of Guyana" on its nose, celebrating the nation's heritage as it serves routes across the interCaribbean network.
