Inspector Adrianne Grant-Davis to represent VI in Queens Funeral Procession

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) Inspector Adrianne Grant-Davis of the RVIPF has been selected to represent the Virgin Islands at the funeral procession of Her Majesty The Queen, on Monday, September 19, 2022.

This is according to information released by the Governor’s office, today, September 17, 2022.

According to the Office, Inspector Grant-Davis will join representatives from police forces across the Overseas Territories, working alongside the United Kingdom police.

The State Funeral of Her Majesty The Queen will be held on Monday starting at 6:00am local time and carried live online.

Governor & Premier attending funeral 

His Excellency Governor John J. Rankin CMG and the Premier Dr. Honourable Natalio D. Wheatley (R7) will be attending the service in person to be held at Westminster Abbey in the UK.

The King and senior members of the Royal Family are expected to join the procession after the coffin moves to Quadrangle in Windsor Castle before entering the St George's Chapel for a committal service.

 The Queen's coffin will then be lowered into the Royal Vault before being interred in the King George VI memorial chapel, located inside St George's Chapel.

    Some may say that I am just being crtical, probably I am. I know this lady. She is very professional, respectable and carries herself well but I believe a BV Islander should have been selected to represent the Territory other than a person whose only intimate connection is just a job.

      What youall think she going to UK to do? Its to keep people from jumping the barriers. At least she will learn what hard work is and how you can't work and be on your cellphone at the same time. It's exposure in any event and I'm glad someone can get to see how things are done elsewhere on the globe

    All you leave the woman alone be careful how you treat people. Servanthood is not an easy job. She chose this job because it ment a lot for her. You think everything is money. Young lady go on your journey for I'm confident that you will represent us well. It does not matter what area you would serve in. Serve with integrity go for it.     Already strained tax payer money? Other countries pay 20% plus payroll tax and that’s why they don’t have potholes. Maybe the government should consider increasing tax, more funds for better infrastructure that everyone wants. #moneydoesntgrowontrees
