ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- One of the favourites in the 2023 Industrial Volleyball League, ESHS Rams, bit the dust when the playoffs began at Multi-Purpose Sports Complex on November 14, 2023. Supermarkets RTW Blazers and One Mart Superstore advanced to the semi-finals.

Game On & Harneys advance to semis

ESHS Rams found a brick wall in Game On in Zone A play, losing 15-25, 22-25. Game On is quite a force to reckon with as they comprise tall players and the hard-hitting Valissa Brathwaite aka 'Val'.

Game On will now play Republic Bank Blue Thunders in the semi-finals at 7:30 PM on November 21, 2023.

In the Other Zone A playoff game on Tuesday last, 2022 Zone B winners ATU Serve-vivors were unable to survive against the resilient Harneys Hittas.

Harneys won 25-22, 25-18 and will come up against the powerful One Mart Yachting at 7:30 PM next Tuesday.

One Mart & RTW Blazers through to semis

In Zone B, One Mart Superstore got past Trident Block Party, 25-18, 25-17, to set up a semi-final clash with Suzuki Marines at 6:30 PM on November 21, 2023.

Meanwhile, RTW Blazers had to dig deep to get past a determined Cash It.

RTW lost the first set, 13-25, but fought back to take the second set, 25-18.

In the third and deciding set, RTW Blazers 'cashed out', 15-10, and will now play the undefeated Family Matters in the semi-finals from 6:30 PM on Tuesday.

The 2023 Industrial Volleyball League is organised by the Department of Youth Affairs and Sports (DYAS).

that's because the organizers took all the fun out of the game with all the added rules, they have reduce the game to boring tap for tap. these additional rules are confusing and foolish. last year was much better.
