GEORGE'S HALLOW, Tortola, VI - Motorists can once again access Road Town by using the alternative route from Sea Cows Bay. The road was closed for some weeks due to road widening and retaining wall works at George's Hallow.

The access road reopened on Monday, November 17, 2025, and will be welcomed by motorists, particularly today, due to the Ubersoca Cruise event in Road Town this afternoon, Tuesday, November 18, 2025.

Traffic coming from the west will be diverted through MacNamara, continuing to Wailing Road and Fort Charlotte, exiting onto Paul Wattley Road. Additionally, traffic may use Porter Road to Titley Road, continue on Russell Hill, and exit onto Paul Wattley Drive.

Motorists coming from the west can also choose to take the alternative road through Sea Cows Bay and gain access to Paul Wattley Road.

The project at George's Hallow was completed under the purview of the Ministry of Communications and Works.

From a statistical reporting perspective, we want to introduce information around the amount of harm that’s being done with your hateful rhetoric but we call that the harm index.

If you need guardrails to stay on the road then you probably shouldn't be driving

Let’s do things right the first time and get guard rails or a retaining wall there immediately. Whomever live below is in for a treat if this doesn’t happen soonest.
It’s was a great gesture to widen and fix that road so let’s make it safe for all.
