BAUGHERS BAY, Tortola, VI- First-term legislator and Minister for Transportation, Works and Utilities Honourable Kye M. Rymer (R5) has sought to dispel rumours that he may be breaking away from the Honourable Andrew A. Fahie (R1) led Virgin Islands Party (VIP).

Honourable Rymer said to listeners and viewers of the VIP Let’s Talk Radio Show last night, Tuesday, February 22, 2022, that he is a committed team member.

“I just want to address a text message that I just received. We know that it is talking season and someone asked me and said they got a call earlier, that I may not be with the VIP,” he said.

'Committed member of VIP'

“I just need to clear the air to make sure to let persons know that I am a committed member of the VIP and I will continue to support the party. This is the best party that will take us through, especially what we are going through now, into the future,” he added.

The youthful and popular legislator then re-affirmed that he is fully committed and is on board with Premier Fahie at the helm, particularly in this COVID-19 era.

He also took the time out to urge persons to join the Virgin Islands Party.

General Election in the Virgin Islands is constitutionally due by May 2023.

It is within his rights to be committed to whom he chooses. I’m not team VIP but I can say Kye do what he has to do as per his Portfolio. Still to this day, you may not agree with my opinion but Kye should have been Deputy Premier.

I don’t have a problem with Kye. He is probably the only VIP member that don’t have to worry about being re-elected. I say give Kye another chance to rectify the water problem, more than likely he is working on it. He is the quiet low key one that get what has to be done, done without the fan fare. I believe he is going to get the water problem solved. The other one, if he had put his all in all with the schools, he would have been on top of his game.

There is a Minister for Education. Do you recall who he is? Hon. Rymer is the representative of the 5th District.

As far as I am concern, there is no Minister of Education. I am aware that Kye is D5 Rep.

Please stop giving the same person money every time they asked, that’s not right it seems as though the politicians are afraid to say NO to these people, but when others asked they tell them they don’t have. That lady up Huntums Ghut is a prime example.

He better start committing to the things in his District. All he is interested in is the City of Road Town. While the elderly and seniors are suffering cause some of them don't have the basic things to keep them going. Stay committed to the VIP While your District needs a committment from you

Did this talking point start out of thin air? What is the origin of the text? What will a forensics examination and evaluation show? Technology has pro and cons; it can both virtuous and vicious. Nonetheless, in any any organization, thee must be communication and fire discipline? Loose lips sink ships, crash planes and derails trains.
