VALLEY, Virgin Gorda, VI- Some may have billed it as Virgin Gorda vs Tortola and others a clash between Tortola and the US Virgin Islands (USVI), when defending champions Ice Connection and former champions Set It Off collided in the 2025 VG Summer Jam League at A. Jeffrey Caines Arena on Virgin Gorda on Saturday, September 20, 2025.

When the dust was settled, Ice Connection were celebrating a 100-95 points win over Set It Off, who were previously undefeated.

It was all about the Joneses

It was a cold night for the talented Khalid S. Gerard, who only managed 5 points, but his fellow USVI teammate Zion Jones stepped up with 24 points.

Kadeem K. Jones had 23 points and 12 assists while Amadius K. Der-Weer dropped in 20 points and pulled 10 rebounds.

Stephon S. Caul supported with 11 points.

For Set It Off, the never-say-die Douron R. Phillip had a game-high 29 points.

Ray D. Victor put in a good shift, with 18 points, 11 rebounds, 7 steals and 11 assists, albeit in a vain effort.

Shakeem Blackman, with 16 points, Travis A. Issac, with 12 points, and Shamarr A. George, also with 12 points, were the men championing the attempted fightback.

Both teams are even on the points table, having both played 5 games and only tasting defeat once. Ice Connection's only loss came at the hands of East.

East vs Dominican League
