ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- The Territory is getting ready to stage a formal celebration of Her Majesty’s Queen Elizabeth II birthday on Saturday, June 9, 2018.

However, it was on Wednesday, March 23, 2018, that Queen Elizabeth II, the lady who the Territory is to celebrate her 93 birthday, gave the Royal Assent to The Sanctions and Anti-Money Laundering Bill that contained an amendment demanding registers of beneficial ownership only for the Caribbean Overseas Territories be made public.

Queen signed Bill to kill us

It will result in the collapse of the Virgin Islands (VI) economy, since some 60 percent of revenue comes directly from the offshore sector and 80 percent indirectly.

On June 9, 2018, funds will be taken from the local Treasury to facilitate the parade, according to a senior officer in the Deputy Governor’s Office.

"I am not celebrating no queen birthday"- John I Cline

The organiser of the Decision March 2018 and outspoken man of the cloth, John I. Cline told the march participants yesterday May 24, 2018, that “I will not be attending the Queen's Birthday celebrations... I am not telling anyone what to do, but I am speaking for John Ivan Cline, I am not going…”

Many other residents have expressed concerns about why the Territory, whose economy the same ‘mother country’ is trying to kill, must now celebrate the birthday of those who are “trying to destroy us”.

The Queen's Birthday is an annual event presided over by the Queen’s Representative, who is Governor Augustus J. U. Jaspert, where school children and other uniform groups stand for hours in the blazing sun.

Not one single person should be seen at this parade. The ones who do attend need shackles put on them so they will know where they are heading.....AGAIN! Back to slavery!

Good to see but that stance should have been taking up a long long time ago.Truth is if you refuse to let go of their white Jesus and their imperialistic, colonial,  brainwashing religion. Then you might as well keep worshipping the Queen. So, as you were, carry on.

Jesus was not white...he was middle eastern or ethiopian most likely. Christianity is'nt a white man religion....it comes from the middle east they just spread it. All religions have done terrible things none excluded including whatever one you follow....human nature is the problem . Who do you worship? A human being then? Better you just be a atheist

Stop exhibiting ignorance. Who know better must do better. A good shepherd leads his sheep well to fine pastures. That shepherd does not instilling hate in the flock. Hate breeds violence. Let us help our people to stand for what is right. In an honoureble way. That is how to win. Let them make decisions without being coerced.

It’s was the queens navy and army and police and aid that just bailed the country out after Irma and will do again this year if it happens again. It is the U.K. passport that you travel on if you don’t have US one. Just cos the piggy bank they have been raiding for years is being taken away and all their dirty deeds are about to be made public they cry wolf.

Dirty deeds, you who invade counties, kill their leaders for the wealth, fill vaccines with aids and ebola, dirty deeds, check yourself.

I see how you attained that “Crown land” nowfor your support in this farce! Since you do not want to respect the Monarch; I say go further homeboi! Give up that BRITISH Virgin Islands passport - keep your USA own and renounce your British allirgance. That also entails recusing yourself from any/all crown lands forthwith. Some ayo want to have all the cake and eat it and ours afterwards. Your not a surprise anymore as to your skewed personal political views - we see you as the true and real vulture capitalist and demigod you think you are (called no names)!

I understand your appreciation for the Queen, but don't you agree we are not been helped. Maybe you can go to England but some of us don't want to.

Is this the Good Shepherd? Is this how we really want to deal with this situation? At the end of the day I caution us as a society to not lose our self respect and the respect of our young people . Mr Cline respectfully saying you need to be more cautious with how you express yourself. Maybe you should even take a time out . I quote a well respected mentor, educator and past politician “ According to your position guard your actions”

I wasn't invited anyway. But I thought I was welcome to the BVI by the Queen, and they hoped it would be
fulfilling and of good for all. Oh well, they don't have crumpets in the BVI anyway, must be a farce. Another
    royal flush.

"Real Talk", Im reeling in laughter!!!

My goodness, continue to speak truth to power!

However, the queens' birthday and religion are two different subjects and we are dealing with the matter here on hand- financial ruin of the country.

Therefore, we must support those who clearly realize the slippery slope we have been made to traverse in and join with them to help to turn the country from such an abyss!

Perhaps the BVI should inform her Majesty it does not want her $400 million loan guarantee, afterall, why would she feel inclined to offer it if the people of the territory don't wish to recognize her. Independence is always an option.
