‘I was detained & questioned by 6 Caucasian UK officers’- Willock

- released without charges; says legal team will put ‘unfounded allegations’ to rest
Former Speaker of the House of Assembly (HoA) Mr Julian Willock, who had publicly criticised the United Kingdom (UK) sponsored Commission of Inquiry (CoI), the motive of the past UK-appointed Governor and accused the CoI lawyers of working illegally in the Virgin Islands, has said he was detained, questioned and released without charges by six Caucasian UK officers on Tuesday, January 10, 2023. ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Former Speaker of the House of Assembly (HoA) Mr Julian Willock, who had publicly criticised the United Kingdom (UK) sponsored Commission of Inquiry (CoI), the motive of the past UK-appointed Governor and accused the CoI lawyers of working illegally in the Virgin Islands, has said he was detained, questioned and released without charges by six Caucasian UK officers on Tuesday, January 10, 2023.

Mr Willock, in a statement today, January 11, 2023, said he was detained around 11:00 am and although subsequently released, his communication devices were seized by the UK officers.

Trumped-up charges?

“They claimed I was being investigated on suspicion of Human Trafficking, because of some VISA waivers I had obtained over the years,” Mr Willock stated.

According to the former Speaker, who has advocated for self-determination and publicly- including in regional interviews- rejected the notion of direct, said he apply and obtained VISA Waivers in association with his company, Advance Marketing and Professional Services and that the Waivers were all legally acquired through the Deputy Governor’s Office.

“Most of the VISA Waivers were obtained before my tenure as Speaker,” Mr Willock stated.

He also said it is his understanding that all persons who came to the territory via a VISA Waiver have since left the territory and did so as per Immigration requirements.

“I will continue to uphold the rule of law and have reverence for both the Constitution and Government Policies, both in my private and public life.”

UK retaliation?

Mr Willock also suggested that his detention and investigation may be part of a plot by the United Kingdom to get back at him for this public opposition to the UK.

“I know the people of the Virgin Islands are fully awake and still have confidence in my integrity, for it was suggested if they could not get me via the Commission of Inquiry (CoI) they had to get me another way.

“Assurance can be given that my lawyer and I will put those unfounded allegations to rest,” Mr Willock stated.

He added: “Throughout history, those who have fought for human dignity, freedom and justice such as Patrice Lumumba, Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther King, Malcolm X, Marcus Garvey, and our very own Noel Lloyd have faced bogus allegations, trumped-up charges, and character assassination.

“But in the end, truth and justice emerged and prevailed.”

Mr Willock disclosed that he is yet to have his communication devices returned to him by the UK investigators.

“I take this opportunity to thank the public for their good wishes, telephone calls to family members and many of my employees, words of encouragement, and I also thank my Attorney at Law,” Mr Willock stated.

It is also a plot to shut down VINO as it is the only one of the few online news that brings balance stories and blogs for and against the colonial rules and they do not want to see anything against them. That is why they like that one site that only post things in their favor.

What was often said about the old Soviet news sources (PRAVDA & IZVESTYA) can be said for the "yellow page":

The COI lawyers were not investigated nor arrested for practicing law in the BVI illegally, but all our local and Caribbean people will be living in the courts just to justify the takeover to the international community. This is a travesty but once you're white you're right and once it is UK then it is OK.

@ jack. In all of the years I have been alive, I have NEVER seen 6 caucasian cops in one car. They seemed to think if Willock saw so many of them, they would intimidate him, but Willock is stronger and smarter than all of them! I would plead the fifth for every question they asked me. Call my lawyer to speak for me, then press charges on them for harassment without cause. This is not the UK or USA, which allows their police to bully and coerce people into talking.

The evil of slavery tells us that a pregnant woman was placed on a horse and both feet were tied to horses on both sides. She was torn in two releasing the unborn baby in the presence of all the other pregnant slaves. This was used to instill terror and fear into the psyche of the unborn babies. Is this tactic being used today? Are our own being used to create fear and instill submission in the minds of anyone thinking of showing resistance or taking a stand or position.
Be very vigilant my people, very vigilant. Study your adversary, know them. Shalom

You are 100% correct. The abuse of power by the colonial masters will continue until we stand up against their well organized injustice. They will come after any person that stands up against them or speak out against them in public and make it look like a legitimate investigation so much so that our own friends and family will believe them. This is the same plan in modern form they used on our ancestors. This is real.

I must commend the former speaker of the House of Assembly Hon. Julian Willock for his advocacy and standing up for the people of the Virgin Islands. We need more people to be courageous. Be a Joshua or a Moses for the Territory. Be strong and courageous because God will see you through. You are fighting for the freedom of the people. MASSA DAYS are over.
Were these UK police officers enlisted in the R.V.I.F? If they were not, then there was a breach of protocol. Even if Interpol was involved, the local police officers were supposed to lead the operation. Let us all unite because this is a tough battle, and we must not continue the struggle.

Yes, we should pay attention! How likely is it that with the makeup of our police force, you can have six Caucasians on the same assignment? They are a specific representation of the UK. We better be aware. The UK is not our friend! If self-determination is our goal whatever is wrong in our county we must deal with it ourselves to make corrections.

I post thus already and I will post again....The UK plot is real but the UK Officials has some of us asleep and some of us brainwashed like they did in the days of slavery. The abuse of the judiciary and police force will rise in 2023 as the Governor is over them and don't let them fool you saying that they are independent because they are not. In-order for the UK plan to enslave us and take over to work and bring in their UK people for all senior public offices, they must instill fear in the majority of our population so we can lose faith in our people and depend on them for refuge and have them as our saviours. They will do this through many investigations and arrests that will seem justifiable because of how well organized the plot is, and they do not care if any of us win the case in court or not as by then it will be too late for our people to see the plan. This plan is for all of us and not just public officers and politicians so do not fool yourself thinking otherwise. BVI MUST RISE UP!

This is not about Willock, Myron, former Premier, or none of what they have us thinking. This is about oppression through abuse of power against anyone who dears to rise against them in the best interest of the people of the British Virgin Islands. They intentionally allowed the police force to have no succession planning for years and left many senior post vacant so they can bring in their kind to do the dirty work but make it look clean. Remember the police is under the Governor. Those who think this is nonsense will soon think otherwise when they reach by you or your family.

Putting us against each other is the slave masters' plan and trust me when I tell you that it is well planned out. If it is a parking ticket they will start there and turn a mountain out of a pebble. We must Pray and fight as they will not stop until they conqueror this land for their kind only.

Love the spin and distraction. 'Arrested and questioned by six caucasians'. If they had not been caucasians it would have been spun as 'arrested and questioned by bad minded disrespectful down island police officers', and if it had been BVI police it would have been 'arrested, questioned, and betrayed by our own brother and sisters in the police'. All the while keeping the focus on other items so long as it is not on the facts of human trafficking.

C'mon man! If you are innocent there is nothing to worry about. If you are not, then you'll probably be fine anyway because the DPP is so bad and inept that you'll get away with it just about anything here. If you do get convicted for the alleged crimes here, then it is more than likely that you were guilty, and you'll have to do the time in prison that mirrors a hotel.

The UK needs to justify to the international world why they need to implement the two Orders of Council and they have full control of the police force by designed with a full senior part of it being persons from the UK. This is their do called transparent vehicle being used to drive them towards fulfilling their goal of the take over for the money in financial services and other areas. It is not about we the people like some of us think.
