THE SETTLEMENT, Anegada, VI- Governor Daniel Pruce sat down for an interview with Lawrence A. Kirton-Wheatley, aka ‘Bunchie’, on the latest episode of his podcast ‘Too Inquisitive’, which aired on March 31, 2026.

During the interview, the Governor was asked about his extensive background in international relations and communications and how the two intersect.

In his reply, Governor Pruce said that, being a diplomat for over 30 years, he had found that these two areas, international relations and communications, intersect.

I try to do a decent job

He explained that for the business of politics, government and international relations to be effective, it must be intertwined with successful communication, consultation with the wider public and engagement with stakeholders.

“I mean, I try to do a decent job in both domains. I mean, others will judge how well they think I'm doing. But I think in the roles that I've held previously and also absolutely in this role that intersection between international relations, government relations, the business of administration and effective external communications is absolutely critical.”

The Governor referred to a point he made when he was sworn in as Governor in January 2024, where he said there must be a duty to transparency.

“To explain what you are doing and what you're trying to achieve, in your role, because it's a privilege to serve in those roles and there's a responsibility to explain your actions.”

Governor if you want credibility in the BVI, you must audit your office and investigate the corruption by the UK police officers

I Think the Governor rule in fear and without courage, his focus is to enjoy this beautiful place and it's beautiful life. Enjoy your life Mr. Gov.The BVI people will solve all the corruption problems you refused to come next election.

Daniel Pruce, the UK-appointed governor, a 30 year plus diplomat with experience in in international relations, communications, etc, is trying to diplomatically give BVI residents his supposed subjects a 6 for a 9 , pull the wool over our eyes. We are not buying his bull shit. The Guv is waxing about transparency . Nonetheless, is the Guv a fair and honest dealer? Is the Guv putting his fists on the scale of justice? Is the Guv dealing fairly and equally in race relations, preferring fellow Britons over locals? Is the Guv diplomatic words matching his demonstrated actions? Gus we got yah ! Fool me once it is on me; fool me twice, thrice, the joke is on you.

Governor Pruce and the colonialist class subscribe to the idea that they have the special privilege and entitlement to govern over local residents in the colonies who they class and caste as the other, the less than, an under class, etc..They feel they have burden to civilize the residents of the colonies.

Governor Pruce, “try to do a decent job.” The Guv should be governing with fairness and equality. The scale of governing is not balanced. The Guv is highly partisan; a set of rules for White Britons; locals, a diffrent set of rules..The Guv has unilateral and has no shame or embarrassment about the partisan governing. The Guv should be working closely with local government. Instead,,it is apparent that they are treated as plastic potage plants, disrespected, disparaged,,etc.

Governors are here to facilitate the UK's interests, and if our interests don't align with the UK's, their agents are our adversary. If we think that what they choose for us is in our best interest, we can become their subjects, which is an available choice; otherwise, be suspicious and at times with contempt.
