Rosan-Jones in a Facebook post early this afternoon, June 14, 2022, had claimed the legislator resigned from his post which could pave the way for possible Bi-elections or early elections in the VI.
'False rumors' - Hon Vanterpool
'I’m understanding the Hon Mark Vanterpool has tendered his resignation effective Friday 17th June. If this is indeed the case, I don’t know where that will leave us as a Territory," she said on Facebook.
Hon Vanterpool fired back today, June 14, 2022, in a statement that called claims 'false rumors' while adding that he intends to serve a full term, although his current term in office will be the last as previously announced.
"I am honored to continue to serve the constituents of the 4th district and the people of this territory as a senior member of the 4th House of Assembly and as a Statesman as I have been recently saying."
"I will also continue to advise the Unity Government as best as I can during the rest of this term. Let me repeat; I wish to reassure my constituents in the 4th district of my commitment to continue to serve in my best capacity for the duration of this term," the Legislator said.
He also underscored that reforms for any growing country are necessary and that "growing pains are good pains".
Rosan-Jones slammed for spreading lies
Meanwhile, Rosan-Jones has since been slammed across social media for her latest round of spreading lies and propaganda on Facebook, which would also extend to her 'Cut Deep' platform.
It is our understanding that the talk show host and 2023 political candidate is also reportedly facing multiple legal battles over claims she made.
Hon Vanterpool has served in local politics for over 20 years, including as Minister for Communication and Works with the National Democratic Party (NDP).
In May 2022, he crossed the floor as a Member of the Opposition to join the coalition government, which was set up in an effort to stave off the suspension of the local constitution and the imposition of direct rule by the United Kingdom (UK).

Mark is running $%^**( games on the people. I too believe that was his intentions to resign.
Mark has not been seen or heard for three and a half years. He has done nothing for his District. He has done nothing for his money. He should be ashame to come on here spouting that he has not resigned when he has been MIA for years. Well label me Cindy No. 2 because if he is still a member of the House of Assembly, where the hell is he? Tell your friend Cindy didn't confuse me, nor other right-thinking citizens, not at all.
WhenCindy was opening her mouth a bit AF and many other issues you all called her crazy too and she turned out to be right on all aspects. Now the corruption stinks in our faces and is nothing we can do because it’s too late.

Another thing, it is high time that we stop allowing those we elect to represent us to get on their high horses and bully us as if they are better than us, while digging our eyes out of our heads. This has been going on for too many years.
As for the subject at hand, I live in the fourth. We have been without representation for so many years now that it ain’t funny. The rep needs to shape up or ship out. It is no longer business as usual. It is high time we get value for money.
