HANNAH’S ESTATE, Tortola, VI – National Democratic Party (NDP 1) Candidate for district three, Aaron F. Parillon is certain that he provides the best hope for the district when he spoke at a rally last evening, Thursday, February 21, 2019.

The rally in Hannah’s Estate, saw one of the largest turn out of support base for the NDP 1 thus far, even so, that the young NDP candidate Mr Parillon was reduced to tears while addressing the crowd.

The Future

“I am the future you have waited for,” he said proudly while noting that elders of the district have waited for the moment and he along with his team will create the change they deserve.

The young Parillon further added that it is time for the district to elect him because his word is his bond and his actions reflect his community’s desires.

“I am a mama’s boy and there is nothing like the love of a mother,” he added as he held on to his mother “Rosy” who was also reduced to tears.

He spoke of the sacrifice of his mother and the fact that she had travelled across the seas just to be alongside him at the moment.

Walwyn hits at VIP

Meanwhile, Chairman of the NDP Hon Myron V. Walwyn (AL) again took swipes at his opponents in the Virgin Islands Party (VIP) telling youths that they are specially targeted by the party for manipulation in a desperate bid to win power at any cost.

Further, Hon Walwyn, who recently promised to pay civil servant increments once elected, implored the youths of the VI not to fall for any political gimmicks.

Mr Walwyn is also currently being investigated for a small wall he built around the Elmore Stoutt High School (ESHS) costing taxpayers some $1.6M in what was said to be a corrupt project by the Auditor General (AG) Ms Sonia M. Webster.

“They apparently are of the view that our young people are gullible, unable to think critically, and will easily fall for their almost nightly fetes and their tricks and gimmicks,” he told those gathered.

NDP’s Mr Parillon will go up against the incumbent Hon Julian Fraser RA of the Progressives United (PU) and Arlene L. Smith-Thompson of the VIP.
