BAUGHER’S BAY, Tortola, VI- The ‘Hurricanes’ remain unbeaten, defeating ‘Rebels,’ 57-52, to storm through the Elite Summer Basketball League’s games—played during June 6, 8 & 9, 2018.

Hurricanes’ Douran Phillips, netted 16 points securing the victory, while Tavon J. Phillips and Diorys Joseph, scored 14 points each.

Rebels’ Dione M. Blyden’s 12 points, along with a noble effort from Deondre Sampson aka 'DK'—who scored eight—proved inadequate against the dominant ‘Hurricanes.’

Guns vs Disciples

Eclipsed somewhat by the NBA 2018 finals on June 8, 2018—that evening’s play also saw ‘Guns’ narrowly defeating ‘Disciples’ 66-64.

Guns’ Bjorn J. Caleb, finished the night with 17 points. He had scored 14 points, when his team came up against the ‘Rebel’s, on June 3, 2018, last.

Caleb was supported by Tunky Dagou with 12 points in their comeback victory over the ‘Disciples,’ whose Steve E. Parillon—tournament organiser—netted 17 points.

Disciples’ Mari Benjamin scored 15 points.

Jam Session

Jam Session on Saturday, June 9, 2018, defeated Rockers 54-50, in a match which saw Dudley Richardson adding another 17 points to his league score.

Jason A. Edwin added 13 points to the score sheet for ‘Jam Session,’ while ‘Rockers’ were led in their effort by Travis Isaac, with 11 points and Antwan Robinson’s 10 points.

‘Guns’ also went down 55-42, to ‘Jam Session’ in their matchup, which saw Louie A. Poblete, and Dwayne M. Stoutt scoring ten each.

‘Guns’ was led in its bid by Bjorn J. Caleb, who mustered nine points along with a supporting six points, from Jamiez A. Stout.

Elite Summer Basketball League’s action continues today, June 10, 2018, with ‘Rockers’ taking on the ‘Rebels,’ and the unbeaten ‘Hurricanes’ taking on ‘Guns.’
