BAUGHERS BAY, Tortola, VI - Singling out Latinos and persons from the Spanish speaking community as allegedly involved in Human Smuggling, an illegal activity being blamed for the spike in COVID-19 cases in the Virgin Islands (VI), the host of 'Honestly Speaking', Mr Claude O. Skelton-Cline, has called on the community to take responsibility for those involved in such acts.

"Persons from the Spanish community, who live among us, who we love, some of whom we are married too, you got some people going back and forth in the night scene, you need to hold your people... they giving a bad name to all the good that you have represented," he said on the Tuesday, August 24, 2020, edition of the radio show on ZBVI 780 AM.

"You can't turn a blind eye," Skelton-Cline further said, noting that Latinos would have an influence on their own people and could get to those involved in the Human Smuggling trade.

It remains unclear what intelligence data the pastor and commentator is relying on to make his claims; however, he said locals in the Virgin Islands are also at fault for assisting the illegal trade by facilitating such undesirable persons to get work permits.

Deport expat criminals - Skelton-Crime

"I am calling on our dear friends now in the Spanish community, it's not limited to just them... you have to hold your people/group accountable," Skelton-Cline said, underscoring that the bars and strip clubs are shut down and Latinos have been put out of work.

Further, he said expats committing crimes in the Territory should face expulsion and immediate deportation.

"If you are committing crimes that is putting this country in jeopardy, we are calling for immediate identification and deportation," he said.

"You can't be allowed the luxury of living in another man's country and breaching the other man's laws, that means you have outlived your usefulness in the country," Mr Skelton-Cline argued.

Half of these spanish/lation people need to be deported. They are not doing anything constructive in the community. They are working in those bars and selling their bodies to these nasty married men.

I am convinced that the direct flight to the DR implemented as soon as VIP counted the last ballot was to make it easier and more lucrative for the local investors to expedite the prolific human cargo The bars strip jpints night and day hookers are predominantly imported from the DR ,a place renowned for the life and ,their sex tourism. The VI lists this work as illegal but evidently the VI is supporting aiding and abetting.
So stop with the big false not new revelation
We know why the higher ups are turning away the UK and patrol of our borders. God and Jesus coming out of allyo mouth in an effort to fool the fools. Heathen behaviour ,so disgusting.
The DR and its traffickkng is the shame of the Caribbean. If it is not #1 it is no less than # 3 in the World and it has its neighborly support . The VI is swarming with them. The welcome mat is and has bern laid out on land on sea and in the air.The UK is well aware. 10 000 COVID in the DR. Sooner or later the VI people will be paying for the courtesy trips that they so readily have afforded Dingo.

I spent 3 weeks in the DR, where some of my ancestors came from. As you leave the airport there are towers of trash lining the streets. I have never seen tenement slums like what I saw in the DR. Right under the underpass of the Malecon, every Saturday there is a flea market that produces more garbage than I have ever seen in my life. The Malecon is also the main location to procure prostitutes. It was painful to see little boys and girls selling themselves along with the adults.

Growing up I always wondered why the Hispanic community lived the way they do over here, but it is what they are accustomed to. They also horrible racists that don’t believe that they are black and they treat the Haitians like garbage. Haiti in contrast is quite tidy. It’s unfortunate that they travel with their bad habits.

First of all the Russians and europeans are the ones who run your country and economy. And in your country if you born poor unless you are able to leave you will probably die poor because unlike the BVI the bread in those countries don't share not even the crumbs. They are BVIslanders down there living but I'm sure they are respecting the Laws and themselves.

And no, your currency can never buy 10 islands like Tortola. And furthermore the BVI's success is not only owed to the us dollar and why havn't your government with all their industries been able to get the us dollar as their currency, but the ethical values that some of your people have come and destroy like the Family is the pinnacle of our success.

I am very indignant with the things that I am reading. I just woke up and was hit by a negative critical wave for Hispanics. There are many things that have been said and I ignore but this one comment upsets me "put them back in a boat and send it back to DR" because let me tell you that many of us did not choose to be here Our former past had no other choice but to traveled to the RD so just as you are from here some of us are too!!. So be careful with what you all say that when you dig a pot for someone you are also digging for yourself. and I know that maybe we have Hispanics who misbehave but you generalize a lot and that is what makes me cringe. And lastly you all need to educate your self because not everyone that speaks spanish is from santo!

Your calculator is off. There are some who are deem as belonger but definitely not most and their wishing does not make them belonger either. Very few,if any have claim to property by inheritance and very few, and possibly none owns by way of purchase land or house.
Either way, those that are not in your " most" group would do the VI a favour by returning home along with the many that are in the VI illegally.
Our forefathers went and earned a living there cutting cane and when our forefathers were told that they must leave so that their own ,(DR)negritos could be the work horses, our forefathers and mothers took the next boat without resustance and returned home where they were not afraid nor ashamed to belong.
