Hon. Walwyn tour HM Prison

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - Minister for Education and Culture Hon. Myron V. Walwyn accompanied by the Acting Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Education and Culture Dr. Marcia Potter received a tour of Her Majesty’s Prison on Friday, May 4, 2012.

The purpose of the visit was to assess the facility’s current condition with Acting Superintendent of Prisons Charles Forbes.

While at the facility, Minister Walwyn spoke directly with inmates to hear their concerns.

Minister Walwyn in speaking as the subject Minister for prisons, told some officials that the rehabilitative work of the Prison is his top priority for the institution. He encouraged them to embrace the new programme with an open mind.

      What stupidity, everything said must be negative at all times. Walwyn is doing a superb job....yet he is critisized. You people need to stop the obnoxious things you say and concentrate on the positive.

    It's good to see the Minister visiting his subject areas. Very Impressive. How else would we know how diverse he is. GOd Bless GIS for this! They release it as it happens!
