Hon Rymer rolls out new 5th District Directory App
The app, available for all platforms, can be downloaded and will put the names of D5 businesses at the fingertips those seeking contact information.
Hon Rymer speaking to Virgin Islands News Online (VINO) said, “It’s our 5th District Business Directory, is our own 5th District Yellow Pages on a free platform. The main goal is to highlight all the businesses in the community, it also allows persons to know what services are available, the hours of operation and the location of the business.”
Large category of businesses
He said some of the business categories covered in the app include construction companies, electronic stores, gardening services, yoga services, bars, restaurants as well as the parks within the area.
“For example, what plumber or electrician can be called in case of an emergency? Shoe repair, do you need a personal chef or a party planner? Where can I get a smoothie or purchase gas... it’s easy to download, and I encourage all businesses in the 5th District to register,” Mr Rymer said.
According to Minister, since launching on March 31, 2021, the app team has added over 60 businesses to the directory, “I must acknowledge the hard work and continued commitment of my committee,” he said.
Hon Rymer also indicated that the project has been in the works since 2018, “The hard-working people of the 5th district are our most valuable resources. Strategically placing people to get their names out into the business community is just the start!” he said.
