EAST END, Tortola, VI- Minister for Health and Social Development and Representative for the Eighth District Honourable Marlon A. Penn has released volume two of the District 8 Community Newsletter for the purpose of bringing awareness of the issues in the community and in effort to work together to find solutions to social, mental, physical and economic issues.

In speaking on the current volume of the publication, the District 8 Representative said, “As we make historic strides and face turbulent times from the recent events taking place in our territory, my district committee and I, believe that it is imperative that we as a people in the East End/Long Look community continue to move forward as one people, towards one destiny. As communities we must look at our commonalities as it relates to our ideologies, and what can be accomplished in the best interest of all living in our communities.”

“I am positive that if all of us live parallel lives through shared experiences, embrace diversity, and demonstrate a mutual respect for the differences in our political views, sound judgements of comparable concepts in our institutions and in our neighbourhood our lives would be fuller,” Honourable Penn added.

"I am encouraging you to be part of our newsletter, as together we bring awareness to some of our root problems, analyse the issues, offer solutions, as well as feature any content that fulfills the purpose of our Community Newsletter," Honourable Penn concluded.

The District Community Newsletter will be available at the District Office, located next to the Harbour View Restaurant in East End, as well as at various restaurants, bakeries and supermarkets in the district.

Volume 2 of the newsletter can also be obtained electronically by contacting 1-284-542-8563.

Honourable Marlon A. Penn continues to serve District Eight and the Territory with pride, leads with confidence and remains committed to building a better community.

Negativity does not get you any place . This is not a political move . It is one to celebrate our people and move forward together regardless of our political views
