Hon Malone warns against anti-vaxxers!
Just over 10,000 adult persons in the Virgin Islands have received at least a first shot of the AstraZeneca vaccine, some 7000 short of the 17,000 target set by Government. The other issue; however, is that the vaccines available free of cost in the Virgin Islands will soon expire.

Don't hesitate, vaccinate!” Hon Malone wrote on his Facebook page on April 2, 2021.
Hon Malone noted that his “heart bleeds” as he is aware of the COVID-19 challenges faced by regional and international jurisdictions.
He said lives and livelihoods are being devastated and a number of jurisdictions cannot access the required quantity of vaccines.
“In the BVI we have the inventory and the capacity to administer vaccines to another 8,000 persons - FREE OF COST & FREEDOM TO CHOOSE,” Hon Malone emphasised.
He said Government will continue to educate, “but let's be clear, we CANNOT allow those who will NEVER vaccinate to allow you to procrastinate until the vaccine is either expired or returned or gifted to other jurisdictions.”

Facebook and other social media platforms regularly receive criticism for the extent of misinformation spreading within these communities.

They have been looking for a cure for cancer from the time I was a little girl and I am now over 50 and they haven't found it yet. Thousands if not millions of people die daily from cancer. Do you see one vaccine rolling out, much less 5? These people loose whatever the loose on the earth to make money and I will go down praying. May God be with us all. You vaccinated ones just made them richer, but we are all in the same boat, sitting ducks.
Those of you who want to take the vaccine, I advise that you take it

If your employer mandates you take it, you have a choice.
My view is that everyone keeps their opinion to themselves unless asked and everyone continues to protect themselves by following any requirements necessary.
Vaccinated or not the key is protect yourself which will protect others in the same process cause the virus is invisible so protection is the key.
The reality of the vaccination is it will not work for everyone and is you are wary about it consult with a doctor for the vaccinated ones have a 50/50 chance of survival and the unvaccinated have a 50/50 chance the same way, the only element that should be constant is protect yourself.
We are in this together so scaring each other is not the answer and to fight is even worse.
If it was up to me I would have shut down all the clubs until the young people were at least 70-80% vaccinated. I would have encouraged the schools to not let back in the students if their parents were not vaccinated. I would have directed my attention on the middle aged group as it would be that group that would be the most likely to spread the virus.
My question is why is it everyone wants to keep the country shut when we still would end up dying a slower and more painful death?
