Hon J. Alvin Christopher breaks his 3-year silence on HoA questions!

It will be the first time after three years that the leader of the newest political party in the Virgin Islands, People’s Empowerment Party (PEP), and veteran legislator Honourable J. Alvin Christopher (R2) will ask a question in the House.
He has been silent all along in terms of questions, leaving them to the fire brand Virgin Islands Party (VIP) opposition members Honourables Julian Fraser RA (R3) and Andrew A. Fahie (R1). Even the reserved Leader of the Opposition Honourable Ralph T. O’Neal OBE (R9) got in a question before.
According to the Order Paper obtained by this news site, through our traditional National Democratic Party (NDP) senior sources, Hon Christopher is to ask Premier Smith at Thursday’s sitting if funding for the completion of the Cruise Pier Extension Project (landside) being carried out by Tortola Pier Park was approved and the total cost of the project.
The former Communications and Workers Minister Hon Christopher wants to know if the Public Management Act of 2012 was violated as it relates to the BVI Ports Authority private sector investment for the project.
Also on the Order Paper, both Hons Fraser and Fahie will pepper front bench Ministers of the NDP Administration with a variety of other questions, ranging from issues on Education, Water, Ports Development Project, Finance, and Healthcare.
The Third Sitting of the Fourth Session of the Second House of Assembly will commence at 10:00 am at its chambers in Road Town, on the main Island of Tortola, and will be carried live on CBN Channel 51.
