HoA returns to Save the Seed Centre for 11th Sitting Thursday

WICKHAM’S CAY 1, Tortola, VI- Lawmakers will return to the Save the Seed Energy Centre in Duff’s Bottom, Tortola, for the Eleventh Sitting of the Third Session of the Fourth House of Assembly (HoA) slated for Thursday, August 12, 2021.

The HoA last convened on July 29, 2021, via a virtual platform, where it debated and passed two motions to exempt Deputy Speaker and Territorial At Large Member Hon Neville A. Smith from vacating his seat after the company the legislator is a Director of entered into two contracts with the Government of the Virgin Islands.

Legislators also voted for Mr Moleto A. Smith Jr to become the new chairman of the BVI Health Services Authority (BVIHSA) for a period of three years, effective July 15, 2021.

The sitting on Thursday, August 12, 2021, is scheduled for a 10:00 am start and will be carried live on CBN Radio 90.9 FM, CBN-Television Channel 101 on Flow TV and can also be followed on the HoA YoutTube channel and online at www.cbnvirginislands.com.

    The sittings are held at save the seed because the usual building is to small to set up with the current requirements for social distancing protocols

    the numbers for church are less than usual because we now have all of these social distancing
