HoA back in ‘Committee’ today April 19, 2022

DUFF’S BOTTOM, Tortola, VI- The Territory’s Parliament is expected to have a continuation sitting today, Tuesday, April 19, 2022.

According to an email from House of Assembly (HoA) spokeswoman Tameeka George, the “House of Assembly is scheduled for today at 3:00 pm at the Save the Seed Energy Centre, Duff's Bottom, Tortola."

Ms George continued “The House will be in committee with the continuation of the Virgin Islands Food Security and Sustainability Act, 2022.”

The Bill was brought to the legislature by Deputy Premier and Minister for Education, Culture, Youth Affairs, Fisheries and Agriculture, Dr the Honourable Natalio D. Wheatley (R7).

An early end?

In an invited comment, Speaker of the HoA Honourable Julian Willock noted that “we will end around 6:00 PM this afternoon so we can join the Junior Minister of Tourism Honourable Sharie B. de Castro  to welcome home our extraordinary BVI  Delegation from the Carifta Games 2022.”

The HoA will be carried live on ZBVI 780 AM, CBN Radio 90.9 FM, CBN-Television Channel 101 on Flow TV and can also be followed on the HoA YoutTube channel and online at www.cbnvirginislands.com
